Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy is a healthcare service aimed at maintaining and restoring a person’s mobility and ability to perform everyday activities, relieving pain, and preventing movement-related problems. A physiotherapist assesses the person’s condition and individual needs and, based on this assessment, uses individually tailored exercises, therapeutic movement and other physiotherapy techniques.

You can come for a pelvic floor health assessment with a specific concern or simply as a preventive measure. An assessment is particularly recommended: after pregnancy and childbirth in case of urinary leakage if you frequently need to urinate or experience a sudden, urgent need to urinate in case of discomfort or pain in the pelvic area if you experience a feeling of heaviness or pressure in the pelvic area if it is difficult to feel or activate the pelvic floor muscles before starting more intensive exercise after pelvic surgery if you simply want to know the condition of your pelvic floor muscles and whether you are training them correctly During the appointment, pelvic floor function is assessed and, if necessary, the strength, tone, endurance, coordination and ability of the pelvic floor muscles to relax are also evaluated. When clinically indicated and with the patient’s consent, the assessment may include a vaginal pelvic floor muscle examination. A vaginal examination is not mandatory. The physiotherapist will explain the purpose and procedure of the assessment beforehand, and it will only be performed with the patient’s consent.
